The Story behind the 4th IRS Logo
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a logo is just as important in sending a message. It captures the identity of your brand at a glance, through aesthetic symbolisms. It bears the visual story of what you want your audience to see and feel when they think of your brand.
In the case of the 4th International River Summit, the logo is literally a combination of its predecessors. Literally, in the sense that it has the colors from each previous summit, to maintain and strengthen brand recall.
Each swoosh of the IRS letters is represented by environmental elements, such as the river, the mountain, and the air. These elements carry out different representations—the river is the Butuanon River in Mandaue City; the mountain depicts the watershed and hydrological unit; and the air encompasses the entire city where it belongs.
The four dots above the air element symbolizes the 4th edition of the IRS. Lastly, the two leaves by the event name signifies Mandaue City’s commitment to the environment and the ecological balance.
The IRS logo was commissioned by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
